5/23-Congratulations to the 2006 Wolverine Wheels who skated the last race in the City League Circuit the MRSO State Championships at Roll Arena, in Midland MI on Sunday, May 21st. The "Wheels" rolled among the fastest and all were right up there within first, second and third place in their races as even our smallest 4 year olds Drew Kolodge and Jacob Hartley, along with Sean Kolodge, Lee Corney and Ricky Hartley gave other skaters something to CHASE!
5/11- To all Wolverines: To celebrate Christine's high school graduation and Maxwell's 11th birthday, there will be a party on Sunday, June 11th. The party will be at All World Gymnasium. For more information contact Christine. Please RSVP if you plan on attending.
5/3-Great Lakes Regional info. Pre-Regionals will be May 20-21 and Regioals will be June 17-18 at the Skatetown Rink in West Chester, OH. We have linked to The Skatetown Speed Team Indoor Nationals will be July 17-22 in Lincoln, NE. Special Hotel pricing will be emailed to the team or contact Amy or Bucky.
4/28-The 1st Annual Wolverine Inline Marathon will be run as part of the 43rd Annual Wolverine 200 Bicycle Marathon to be held on May 26-27 on Belle Isle and sponsored by the Wolverine Sports Club. The Great Skate Wolverines Speed Team is not associated with the Wolverine Sports Cub although we share some members. Information here.

4/11-The Wolverine’s Jessica Smith won the opening race of the 2006 World Inline Cup in Seoul, Korea on Sunday. Jess hawked at the line beating the best teams in the world despite being the only Hyper women racing. Over 7,000 skaters competed on the 40k road course in Seoul. 4/2-The Robb Dunn Retirement Roast. Skaters from past and present and near and far celebrated Robb’s retirement from coaching with a Roast at Mr. B’s in Royal Oak, MI. The stories that were told! We heard about the fame, the glory, the bike rides, the hotel rooms, scaring small children, the Barbie Doll Jess never received, the hotel rooms, posting bond, the relays lost because skaters couldn’t count, the relay lost because Robb couldn’t count, the famous wrestling match and third world medical care, wine and women, lost keys and lost books, Amy Ruby’s many contributions to Robb’s coaching career, and so many more. But most of all we heard the love and appreciation everyone has for Robb. Pictures here.
