3/9-Elope on the Slope. Wolverine speed instructor Pam Coletta married teammate Lee Corney and became Pam Corney on Feb. 22, 2005 at a slope-side ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Pam had to pull up the cast on her broken wrist so that Lee could slip the ring on her finger (snowboard injury). There was a snowflake toss instead of rice and a champagne time was had afterwards. Congratulations to Lee and Pam. Photos of the event here.

3/7-Here is an article on skating at the Pontiac Silverdome that appeared in the Oakland Press. How many of you have skated for the Wolverines long enough to remember when Mitchell lost his uniform during a crash there and skated by with it flapping behind him from his neck like superman’s cape? I remember him skating by yelling “get my pants! get my pants!” Thanks to the inline planet for the heads-up.
3/3-Traci and Christine Morrison are starting an intermediate speed skating class to be held on Thursdays at the Bonadventure rink from 5:00-6:30pm with power exercises following. The class will be a great time for any current Wolverines to get some extra laps on a narrow track and work on technique stuff that other practices may not offer the same opportunity. The class is also
great for anyone that has had some time off their skates and wants to get back to skating... at a slower pace. And as the class description implies, any skater that has been though the Beginner class and is ready for more should also look to attend.
