9/25-NEW-2004 World Inline Cup, Berlin, Germany. Skating for the KIA-Verducci International Team the Wolverine’s Theresa Cliff-Ryan finished 7th today in the final stage of the 2004 World Inline Cup to clinch the 2004 WIC Individual Overall Championship. Her French teammate Nathalie Barbotin finished 13th for 3rd place overall. Jessica Smith (Wolverine’s-USA) was 4th in the race for a 5th place overall while skating a partial World Cup schedule this year. KIA-Verducci also won the Overall Team Title in the 8 race Swiss Inline Cup series with Theresa winning the SIC Individual Overall Championship. 9/23-NEW-Fox Sports is conducting a poll to see which sport should be considered for the 2012 Olympics. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is considering one of the five sports for Olympic inclusion at the 2012 games in New York City. 9/11-2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships, Pescara, Italy. Competition ended today with the 42000m Marathon. Team USA did not place in any division. In overall points it was Columbia 1st, Italy 2nd, followed by the USA 3rd. Final standings, videos, and photo finish shots here.
9/10-2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships, Sulmona, Italy. Today Team USA medaled in all 4 10000m Relay Events. USA Junior Women won Gold, including the Wolverine’s Kelly Gunther. USA Junior Men won Silver. USA Senior Women won Gold including the Wolverine’s Jessica Smith. USA Senior Men won Gold.
9/10-2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships, Sulmona, Italy. Last night in the Junior Women’s 500m Final the USA’s Brittany Bowe was leading and was fouled by a Columbian skater just before the finish line. The officials awarded her the Bronze medal. See the video here. You be the judge.
9/9-2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships, Sulmona, Italy. Today Team USA won 4 medals in the Road Compitition. In the 500m Finals it was Brittany Bowe 3rd in Junior Women. In the 20000m Elimination races Britany Bowe was 1st in Junior Women helped by the Wolverine's Kelly Gunther who finished 4th, Jonathan Gorman was 3rd in Junior Men, Julie Glass 2nd in Senior Women and Joey Mantia 2nd in Senior Men.
9/8-2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships, Sulmona, Italy. Today began 3 days of Road Copitition with Team USA taking 2 medals. In the 200m Time Trials it was Brittany Bowe 3rd in Junior Women. In the 5000m Points Finals Joey Mantia was 2nd in Senior Men.
9/6-2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships, L’Aquila, Italy. Team USA took 5 more medals today. In the 500m Finals Brittany Bowe 2nd in Junior Women. In the 5000m Relay Finals the Wolverine’s Kelly Gunther along with Brittany Bowe and Amber Yarborough won Gold in Junior Women. Sebastian Cano, Jonathan Gorman and Darren Kauffman won in Junior Men. The Wolverine’s Jessica Smith with Julie Glass and Kimi Butler were 2nd in Senior Women. Josh Wood, Jordan Malone and Joey Mantia won Gold in Senior Men.

9/3-L’Aquila, Italy. The Opening Ceremonies were held tonight for the 2004 World Inline Speed Skating Championships. Over 8,000 spectators watched 500 speed skaters from 50 nations parade into the stadium followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Competition begins tomorrow with the 300m Time Trial Final and the 15000m Elimination Final on the track. Report at patincarrera.com. 8/31-Change to the September Practice Schedule. Starting September 8 the Outdoor Practice will be changed from Thursdays to Wednesdays.
8/24-The Thursday, Aug. 26 Outdoor practice has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 25.

8/16- Bern, Switzerland. The Wolverine’s Theresa Cliff-Ryan skating for the Kia-Verducci International Team finished 2nd in the finale of the 8 race Swiss Inline Cup series this last Saturday with her teammate Nathalie Barbotin 3rd. Theresa won the individual overall with a dominating 5 wins, and 3 2nd's out of 8 races. Nathalie finished strong to get 2nd in the overall, and the Kia-Verducci Team of Theresa Cliff-Ryan (USA-Wolverine Speed), Jessica Smith (USA-Wolverine Speed), Nathalie Barbotin (France) and Kuck Chae-Yi (South Korea) won the Overall Team for the Swiss Inline Cup to make Kia Verducci the most complete Champions in the 2004 SIC season. 7/17-Einsiedeln, Switzerland. The Wolverine’s Theresa Cliff-Ryan skating for the Kia-Verducci International Team won the Swiss Inline Cup Stage 6 last weekend.
