8/25-Opening ceremonies of the The 2005 World Speed Skating Championships in Suzhou, China.
8/24- The 2005 World Speed Skating Championships will be held in Suzhou, China Aug. 26-Sept. 6. Team USA is there preparing for the competition now. The Wolverine website will be posting daily pictures from USA Coach Linda Wood (Josh, Brian and Toni’s Mom).
8/2-COME SUPPORT WOVCAP!!! This Friday evening, August 5th, 7:00-9:00 come watch Chase Riley's dad (Terry Palmer) race at the Velodrome. As an added bonus, suprise guests Gary and Theresa will be there racing. The Velodrome is located in Bloomer Park in Rochester. Just take John R until it ends at Bloomer Park. There is a charge to get into the park and the Velodrome. Bring chairs, blankets, coolers, sun glasses and such. No alcholic beverages allowed:( See you there!!!
7/24-Anyone interested in doing a century ride? Traci, Steve, and Buckey are riding the Assenmacher 100 on Sunday, August 21, 2005. The ride is anywhere from 5 miles to 100 miles and starts in Swartz Creek (just west of Flint) at 7:00 a.m. We have done this ride the past 2 years and it is a beautiful rolling ride with AWESOME cookie stops:) Go to http://www.assenmachers.com/100.htm for more information or contact Traci or Buckey.
7/23-Final results from the 2005 Indoor Nationals held this year in Pensacola, FL, July 17-July 23. Wolverine members placing individually at Nationals were: Tim Jones 3rd in JO Freshman Boys, Christine Morrison 3rd in JO Junior Ladies, Sandy Emerling 4th in Grand Veteran Men, Kathy Scianna 3rd in Veteran Women, Lynne Costanza 4th in Veteran Women, Jay Ingram 1st in Master Men, Susie Jackson 3rd in Master Women, Darian O’Neil 1st in Juvenile Girls, Cheyenne Rodriguez 3rd in Juvenile Girls, Kevin Shockley 1st in Classic Men, Emily Barker 3rd in Sophomore Women, Sarah Barker 4th in Sophomore Women, Justin Kubichek 1st in Senior Men, Barry Drenkhahn 3rd in Senior Men, and Jessica Smith 1st in Pro/Elite Women.
